Heartfelt thank you to Joan and Grace for all their work.
Wednesday 15th of October saw Home Instead's Dale Bevington elected as a trustee for Age UK Barnet at this year’s Annual General Meeting. For several years Dale has been working closely with Age UK Barnet particularly providing support for the Falls Awareness Programme. Dale says: “It’s a real honour to be elected to the Age UK Barnet board. Age UK is the lead for Barnet’s Neighbourhood Scheme and is also operating The Later Life Planners scheme that helps older people to plan for retirement, as well as providing information and advice on wide range of issues. Both programmes are reaching out to older people throughout the borough.”
In addition to Dale, two other new trustees were elected to the board, Beth Saffer and Catherine Loveday.
Also at the AGM two long standing members of the board, Joan Penney and Grace Fensome stepped down. Joan and Grace are great supporters of Age UK Barnet and are leading lights in our community. A big thank you for your fantastic contribution to Barnet!
