  • Distinguished Gentleman requiring support and encouragement

    With a distinguished military career and wide travel experience, an older gentleman has found himself isolated at home. Could you help?

    We are looking for someone living around East Knoyle, Mere or Shaftesbury to be a reliable assistant and companion. 

    The role entails companionship, encouragement and building confidence, together with meal preparation and basic personal hygiene. This is vital to ensure his wellbeing and the ability to remain safe and confident in his own home.

     Seniors in our community are in desperate need of support.

                  Are you able to help with support and companionship for                a few hours per week?

    Would you like to join a team of like-minded compassionate people, and build a career as a professional CAREGiver?

    There is an urgent need to support Seniors in our community to live independent and productive lives. In addition to the practical and physical tasks of living at home, the objective is to engage older people in activities that are relevant and of interest, and to attend to their emotional needs.

These are Clients that are experiencing the limitations of ageing and feeling isolated from the broader community. We need people to help them participate in stimulating activities, taking them out for the day and with normal daily tasks. Your early intervention means that our Elders can live productive and fulfilling lives in their own homes and communities.

  • Live-in Care

    Trowbridge, Devizes, Market Lavington, Melksham: A strong and independent woman would prefer not to be placed in a care home.

    Previously having owned her own businesses and run a her own farm, this vibrant older woman is now living with a moderate form of dementia. There is pressure to move her to a care home. In the absence of suitable 24-hour Care, she may have to be forced to leave the house she has lived in for over 65 years.

    CAREGivers are needed to help with meal preparation, domestic help, accompanying on day trips out into the community and shopping, as well as ensuring basic personal hygiene. With the right Care, this amazing person can remain happy at home where she chooses to be.

    Based at the Client's home, CAREGivers work for 4 days. Sleep-in nights involve having in your own private room, and only waking occasionally to reassure the Client in the event of confusion or anxiety. Care during the day involves maintaining a regular routine and daily trips to places of interest around the area to keep up social engagement. Memory exercises, reminiscence and emotional support is part of the role.
