At home care company Home Instead Senior Care are thrilled to announce the launch of their new in-house award for recognising the work their CAREGivers do to support their Clients. The 'Making a Difference' award was created to recognise the wonderful support our CAREGivers provide to the people they look after. Commenting on the award, Managing Director David Moore said: “In the office we hear an amazing story every day of the week about the things our CAREGivers do to make a difference to the lives of our Clients. This award was developed to capture those stories, but more importantly we wanted to show recognition to our CAREGivers for the fantastic work they do. This award was a simple way to show our appreciation.”

It was with great pleasure that David and Joanna handed over the very first awards to Hayley Henderson and Pearl Buck for the support and encouragement they have been showing to Mrs H W.

Talking about how they have assisted H to lead a more independent life, both ladies remarked that H was not bathing, but with encouragement and support she now loves having regular baths and is generally feeling more confident about herself. At first the house was unorganised and messy, but through the efforts of Hayley and Pearl and with assistance from H, it is now clean, tidy and organised. H is very proud of what they have accomplished together. Food was going off in the fridge, but now Pearl, Hayley and H check dates and manage food better. H loves watching TV or going out for a walk and a coffee into Bramhall. The CAREGivers commented: “H now loves to help with chores around the house like dusting and ironing as it makes her feel ‘worthwhile’.  She will put her own washing on the maiden. She also enjoys preparing her own lunch rather than having everything done for her. H is becoming more independent and confident.”

"Thanks again for the great service you're providing my Mum, we have noticed a real change in her." – quote from Harold W (son).

In presenting the awards, owners David and Joanna Moore could not thank CAREGivers Hayley and Pearl enough for the fantastic work they do with their Clients. Joanna commented: “It is a small recognition for the care and empathy they show to our Clients every day of the week. They make a real difference to people’s lives”.
