Home Instead has recently developed statistics regarding our client visits and the results are fantastic!
We focus on providing quality care for our clients therefore provide minimum 2 hour calls therefore it is essential that we ensure our clients receive all the time required to cater for all of their individual needs.
The stats we have found support this completely.
The results we have taken are from 1st October 2014 up until the 31st December 2014 so this is a very busy period for us with many calls and terrible weather conditions along the way.
We found that 79.96% of our calls were attended within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, this is a brilliant percentage, but this may actually be higher as you have to take into account the fact that; the client may have needs to deal with as our CAREGivers walk in the door, there may be traffic issues, or CAREGiver’s could forget to log in.
To take these issues out of the equation we ran reports for calls attended within 10 and 15 minutes of scheduled start time. 81.20% were attended within 10 minutes which is slightly higher, however traffic and other issues should be taken into account and a staggering 95.33% of calls were attended within 15 minutes of scheduled start time which is more of a true reflection as 15 minutes gives our CAREGivers time to enter the call and sort everything that needs to be done. What makes this percentage even better is that the results are from the last quarter of 2014 so even through poor weather conditions and Christmas traffic; we are ensuring we are arriving at our calls within 15 minutes.
To illustrate the dedication of Home Instead and our CAREGivers to get to client calls through snowy periods, here are just a few stories from our CAREGivers:
• Lynne walked 2 miles to her client’s house as the weather prevented her from using her vehicle; Lynne knew it was important for her client to receive care so ensured this would happen!
• Margareth spent 15 minutes clearing the snow from her car and braved her icy road to get to her client; luckily the main roads were clear so Margareth got to her client safely.
• Although Angela hasn’t had many problems with the roads due to her schedule, she had problems on her clients drive and would like to thank the neighbour who helped as well as everyone who has helped clear the roads.
• We would also like to thank Janet and her husband who drove twice to her calls and waited an hour to fetch her back.
Although we may arrive within 15 minutes, it doesn’t mean our clients lose any of their call time, our reports show that 78.28% of calls were attended for the full duration and 59.77% of calls were actually overstayed.
