Home Instead Senior Care Host A Successful Workshop in Sheffield!

On Tuesday 8th of September, Home Instead Sheffield hosted the final day of their workshop. This workshop was a huge success and was especially pleasant to see a number of people complete the whole course including all three of the days and they will receive a certificate to mark this.

But don’t worry, this does not mean you cannot attend the next one! We have already organised and booked the next workshop, the details are listed below:

Where: Chapeltown Library, Nether Ley Avenue, Sheffield, S35 1AE

Date: Thursday 15th October

Time: 1PM-4PM

These workshops are FREE for anyone to attend and we provide you with all the details that you would require if your loved one or someone else you know is living with dementia.

Below is a breakdown of how the workshop is split into 3 days:

Day 1 of the workshop covers a broad background into Alzheimer’s disease and other Dementias and is a fantastic opportunity for members of the community to come along and get a clearer insight into Dementia and what they can do to stop the signs of this disease.

Day 2 & 3 includes capturing life’s journey and techniques to handle challenging behaviours

And finally Day 4 involves a range of activities to encourage engagement and participation

The feedback that we get from participants is truly amazing, and is show below:

“The most valuable part of the workshop for me was being able to share my experiences”

“It gave me a greater insight to activities for people with dementia”

“The tips with activities was the most valuable part of the workshop as this is what my job entails”

We are proud to support the community with providing information about Alzheimer’s and other diseases and we would love to see you at our next workshop!
