Home Care Recruitment Open Day a Big Success

Wednesday 13th August saw Home Instead Sheffield host yet another recruitment open day, with an aim to find a handful of new carers to provide support for our clients in the Sheffield area.  The last few months has seen Home Instead bolstered by numerous recruitment events and the introduction of new care companions that have joined our team “The introduction of new carers is not just great for Home Instead, but also for the clients and the carers themselves. Individuals joining the Home Instead team are able to benefit from flexibility and their own choice of work availability, as well as round the clock support”.

The event was held at the Old Red Lion in Grenoside, with Kathy, Tina and Brad present to take any enquiries from those who were interested in a care job at Home Instead Sheffield. The day was considered a great success with 8 out of 10 people who attended, being put through to the interview stage.

“The recruitment open days are fantastic for Home Instead to connect with individuals on a local level. The internet is all well and good for job seekers; however recruiting people into a care profession focuses on personality which doesn’t always present itself on an online application form. Just having a face to face conversation is a great way of determining the individuals who would inevitably make a fantastic carer for our clients”.

The Home Instead team will be hoping to host more recruitment events in the near future and are still encouraging those with a caring nature and a drive to make a difference to apply for a position.
