Local Care Company Home Instead are very proud of one of our CAREgivers, Margareth Parkin, who last Friday evening set of in her car to visit one of our vulnerable clients the call was due to start at 12.30 and finish at 6.00 pm. Margareth set of during the near blizzard conditions she arrived on time. She carried out the call and when it came to leave she was unable get her car out of the deep snow.
Showing great tenacity she set off to walk the 11 miles back to her home, the going at times was hazardous and treacherous under foot. She did at one point fall and hurt herself.
Margareth took this all in her stride as she said when you care for vulnerable clients within their own home you simply just have to find a way to ensure you do not let a client down.
We wish to say a huge thank you to Margareth, here at Home Instead we pride ourselves on supporting vulnerable adults to remain independent in their own home, having CAREgivers of Margareth’s calibre within our company is not unusual as all our staff are chosen with care and attention. We take time to match CAREgivers hobbies and interest to that of the clients and provide continuity of care so that CAREgivers are able to build up a trusting and caring relationship ensuring we put the interest of client’s first and foremost.
Well done Margareth and Thanks once again
