Christmas Parties & Be a Santa to a Senior

The week before Christmas saw Home Instead host their annual  Christmas Parties in for all 3 areas at Emmanuel Church in Barnsley and the Psalter Lane Office in Sheffield.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our Clients and CAREGivers for attending these parties and making it a very special Christmas yet again.

This year we had our very own Sophie playing the guitar while everyone else sang along to Christmas songs such as Silent Night and Winter Wonderland! A big well done and thank you to Sophie . As ever some were more in tune than others...

At both parties we had quizzes, raffles, singing, dancing, food and refreshments for everyone to enjoy and it was a great way to end a fantastic year for Home Instead! As you can see from the photos two of our clients Joyce and Barbara were delighted to win a Christmas hamper each from the Tombola which was wonderful to see.

In the week leading up to the Christmas party we had been raising money for ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ in each of our offices. This gift giving scheme sees our office staff and CAREGivers come together to help spread Christmas cheer amongst older people. We raised money throughout the week in order to buy presents for some of our clients in order to make a small difference and give back a bit of happiness this Christmas. Throughout the week there was a variety of festive food on  offer and CAREGivers and Office staff alike were encouraged to come into the office wearing Christmas jumpers.

After all the presents had been wrapped it was now time to distribute them to some of our clients! The  photographs below show clients at our Christmas parties being presented with their gifts. We hope they enjoyed their gifts and we’d like to thank everyone who has come together and donated.
