The Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about dementia.
Come along to our face-to-face information session. Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help.

We’ve hit that time of the year where all the Christmas adverts are been shown on the TV. I think we all agree that the John Lewis advert pulled a few of our heart strings; it has a very poignant and touching message about the elderly and loneliness during the Christmas holiday. They teamed up with Age UK with the intention of raising awareness of the number of older people who will be spending Christmas alone.
So have you thought of touching the life of an older person who lives near you? Our clients don’t live on the moon, like on the advert. In fact, they may just live around the corner from you. Sometimes, without the help of a CAREGiver, it might just be as well that they are on another planet- cold and isolated.
If you think you’re that special person then please join us at our next event, the details are listed below:
When? Thursday 26th November
Where? Birley Fire Station, Moor Valley, Sheffield, S20 5FA
