Home Instead Sheffield have hailed their recent Alzheimer's and Dementia workshop as a great success. This was the scond workshop to be held in Sheffield and focused on allowing Family members to capture the 'lifes journey' of a loved one with either Alzheimer's or another form of Dementia.
A fair amount of people turned up to the workshops, all with a different background and a story to tell. There was a lot of reminiscing about the past and even a sing song at the end. It provided people with the knowledge of how to build a life journal for their loved one, but also gave them a effective look back at their own lives.
Sarah our Care Manager said "It was really nice to see everyone taking part and talking about each other's lives, even though I deal with clients who have Alzheimer's or another form of Dementia on a regular basis, everyone has a different story to tell about these diseases".
If you have missed any of our workshops, don't worry we will be repeating them in the new year. details for our third workshop are shown below. If you are interested in attending please call 0114 246 9666.
