Mum's carer was always punctual and reliable, friendly and supportive to both mum and dad. We always feel confident to leave mum and dad into their capable hands. Thank you. ’’

Husband of Client

All the carers who attended my wife were extremely pleasant and made their visits so enjoyable as possible for my wife. People working in the office were very pleasant to deal with and gave good advice when needed. All in all, a very good company to deal with.

All caregivers are reliable, punctual and once the essential jobs are out of the way, most caregivers will look for any other tasks to do within their allocated time - suggesting vacuuming stairs or wiping out the fridge.

"I have recently been caring for our increasingly dependent 93yr old spinster aunt. Faced with our having to work and her deteriorating health we were found there were limited choice in care providers. Although we started out with the usual morning lunch, tea and evening calls this only met her physical needs. It made much more sense to use the Home instead Approach to end her social isolation and meet ALL her care and support needs. It may seem costly but the level of care and support is such that a person’s dignity and self worth increase not decrease and they are befriended, valued and provided with the highest level of care and companionship. No carer came who she had not been properly introduced to previously and they always left full notes on care provided and activities undertaken. We had initially opted for a mixed care approach with another provider doing the shorter visits through some of the day but were so impressed with the individual way services were provided by Home instead we were looking at increasing their involvement in a more imaginative way. We have four other elderly relatives whom we are sole carers for and when they begin to need any care our first call will be to Home Instead. I cannot praise their approach enough; they treat people as individual’s not just tasks to be completed. If you want someone who cares as much as you do meet this company I'm sure you'll be impressed. Although this may seem a more expensive option it is great value for money and I cannot praise the approach highly enough."

"My Carers do everything that is expected of them. They follow what the book journal has written in it. They sign it and make sure I am alright, they are first class people and I get great support the way I want it."

Thank you once again, for all your help.

The family of Mr and Mrs R, Sheffield.

In what was a very tough year for them and us, you brought kindness, smiles and friendship.  I would like to say a big, big thank you to all involved in the care of my Mum and Dad.

Mum has not had good experiences in the past with Care Agencies, and is quite nervous and unsettled when a new person visits the house. I am delighted to say that the carers from Home Instead have all struck up a very good rapport with Mum and have clearly gained her trust and she truly looks forward to them visiting. The fact that the carers treat Mum as a person and are spending time talking to her normally and encouraging her to look through photographs etc has, I am sure contributed to this, and I have noticed a distinct improvement in her general demeanour she is a lot happier in herself. Initially I needed Home Instead to cover a short term resource problem, but I am now using Homeinstead for support long term for Mum as I have been so pleased with the service.

I have just completed my first year of regular care, I was recommended to contact you by a friend who was appreciating help. I was impressed by the initial comprehensive assessment of my needs and my family and I are happy to know that if the passage of time leads to requiring more care, it can be arranged. My Caregiver is pleasant and cheerful, always punctual and willing to assist with a variety of tasks in which she demonstrates all round excellence. I look forward to and appreciate her visits which enable me to enjoy a continued standard of comfortable living within my home.

We were so delighted with Home Instead that we used them twice, for my grandmother and also for my father. Both times, Home Instead visited them at home, talked through their needs, likes, dislikes etc and matched the absolutely ideal carer. We had been advised by friends that there was a good chance it would take a while to find someone to help, with loved ones not taking to carers or carers being unsuitable so we were expecting a tricky time. We were so delighted and unbelievably relieved when we met Jo, who helped my grandmother and aunt (who has learning difficulties). She was so kind, understanding and just brilliant with them both. My Dad had suffered with Parkinsons for a while and it had got to the point where he needed a bit more help. Within a matter of days, Paul had been introduced. My Dad really enjoyed his company and appreciated his sensitive approach to what was a very difficult time in his life. It's not easy accepting a stranger into your home and life but both times, Home Instead got it absolutely right, first time. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Home Instead!
