The Oxford Overnight Care team, here to help every step of the way
Overnight care involves a Care Professional staying with a client overnight, a service we’ve been providing across Oxfordshire for many years. The type of overnight care varies depending on individual needs. For regular support, such as medication administration, mobility assistance, or continence care, a ‘waking night’ may be required, where the Care Professional stays awake throughout the night. For those seeking reassurance with fewer care needs, a ‘sleep-in’ shift may be more suitable. Our team can discuss personalised options with you, offering support whether the care is sudden, short-term, or long-term, drawing on our years of experience with clients and their families.

Get in touch Why Overnight Care may be right for you
A 2022 UK government report showed that 70% of older adults prefer to remain in their own homes as they age. While overnight support often leads people to consider residential care, many can thrive overnight at home with the help of overnight care services and assistive technology. Staying in their community, surrounded by friends and neighbours, greatly enhances well-being and quality of life, which we support whenever possible. Overnight care provides reassurance for clients and families, preventing falls, accidents, and emergencies. Our Care Professionals are trained to handle everything from continence care to hydration, ensuring they’re prepared for any situation.

We chose Home Instead as my father wants to stay in his home whilst coping with the onset of dementia. As a family, we believe that this is preferable to going into a home and Home Instead have the expertise and experience to make this work. Home Instead have responded fantastically to Dad’s changing needs and nothing is too difficult to do to help him. The carers are exceptionally focused & committed & the management are truly standing by our side and helping us through the process.
