The Oxford Dementia Care team, here to help every step of the way

Dementia can hugely impact a person’s life and their loved ones. Dementia is an umbrella term for various neurological conditions that affect the brain, leading to declines in memory, thinking and judgment. With over 100 types of dementia, approximately 14,000 people in Oxfordshire live with the condition. We believe dementia care at home allows individuals to remain in their familiar, comfortable environment with the right support. This may include medication reminders or assisting with personal care. All our Care Professionals receive dementia training, and we collaborate with Oxfordshire Age UK, Dementia Oxfordshire, and Dementia UK to support those affected. Our WOW (What’s on When) Guide lists many dementia-friendly events and groups.

Client reading with Care Professional - Home Instead

We chose Home Instead as my father wants to stay in his home whilst coping with the onset of dementia. As a family, we believe that this is preferable to going into a home and Home Instead have the expertise and experience to make this work. Home Instead have responded fantastically to Dad’s changing needs and nothing is too difficult to do to help him. The carers are exceptionally focused & committed & the management are truly standing by our side and helping us through the process.
