Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.

“ Firstly, thank you for your thoughtful condolences card which Emma dropped around to Dad’s house on Friday. It has pride of place on the windowsill in his sitting room where you spent most of your time with him dispensing his medication, providing his sustenance and listening to his stories. I have spent my entire life working in providing facility services within a regulated manufacturing and commercial environment so I know what good service looks like. In this context, I wanted to take this opportunity to commend you all for your first class standards you have so consistently operated to in providing such professional, high quality care and companionship to my dad over the past 7 months. The pleasure and privilege has been mine getting to know you all during this time. For making a real difference to my dad’s quality of life and making him laugh but primarily for all your truly fantastic care – sincere thanks. Mr P S Buckingham ’’

Our Be a Santa to a Senior gift giving scheme has been a success this year! Owing to the current situation, we were very lucky to have donations from local businesses (Verdigris Antiques, Winslow, Joke Taylor, Winslow, Wilkinson Partnership Estate Agents, Winslow and CATERFAYRE, Nash), our 'Tinsel Trolley' at Dobbies Garden Centre and from our lovely CAREGivers - overall we had nearly 100 gifts to give out to those alone or with no family in the Community...including Caton House, Bletchley, Bay Tree Residential Home, Olney, St Laurence Food Cupboard (Winslow) and those living alone in surrounding villages. THANK YOU for your KINDNESS. #BeASanta
