We are led by our Registered Manager Clare Marks, who brings years of experience in dementia care and a passion for supporting older adults in our community. We take pride in our thorough training programme for all Care Professionals, ensuring they understand not just the practical aspects of dementia support but also the emotional needs of building trust with someone whose perception of the world might be changing. Our team lives locally too, which means they share knowledge of local history and connections that can be invaluable when supporting reminiscence activities with clients. This local knowledge carries through into the close relationships we maintain with the wider community. We maintain close relationships with the Dementia Action Alliance and often signpost families to their valuable information sessions and support networks. Our Care Professionals can organise attendance at dementia-friendly events, which offer a welcoming space for both those living with dementia and their carers to socialise and share experiences. We regularly liaise with GP practices and community nurses to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
