One of the many real benefits of live-in care is having one person who gets to know you well. Our Care Professionals learn your routine and how you like things done. Because they live with you, they often notice small changes early, such as a dip in appetite or less confidence getting about. This gives us a chance to raise these with the wider family or the local GP before it becomes a larger concern. Your Care Professional will have their own private bedroom and will provide support during the day, typically 8-10 hours or so, and stays close by overnight if needed. Our live-in care is not round-the-clock nursing, so where care is needed regularly through the night, we will talk through the best ways we can provide overnight or 24/7 support. When we support you over the longer term, we will often arrange two Care Professionals who take it in turns a couple of weeks at a time, and our local team plans the handovers.
From the first enquiry you will deal with a small local team who get to know you and your situation, and we keep the wider family as up to date as they would like, whether they live nearby or further away. Every Care Professional is employed and background checked by us, and we train and support them throughout, including in specialist areas such as dementia, Parkinson's and post-operative support.
