The support we provide is tailored to your needs and can be adjusted over time, too. For some people, live-in care may centre on companionship, meal preparation and help around the home. Others may need more support, including personal care, medication and help with mobility. One of our lovely Care Professionals will live in a spare room in the home and usually works an eight to ten hour day, agreed with you at the assessment, with proper breaks. They sleep at the house, so someone is close by overnight, and if more help is needed through the night we can talk through how best to arrange it. For longer arrangements, a second Care Professional joins on a rota of a few weeks each, and our local team looks after the schedule and handovers.
Our live-in care is managed entirely by our capable local team, which is often what reassures families most. Because we live and work nearby, we know the GP surgeries, services and district nurses close to you, and we can call on trusted local tradespeople if something in the house needs attention. Every Care Professional is directly employed by our local team and thoroughly DBS checked, and we train and support them throughout, so the care you receive is consistently of the highest quality. From your first enquiry you deal with the same small team who know you by name, and we keep relatives informed as often as they would like, which is a genuine comfort when family live further away. We are also regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission, so the standard of our care is checked independently, and families can be confident in it.
