We arrange peaceful walks along the stunning Heysham coastline, where the fresh sea air and familiar surroundings can be wonderfully calming for those living with dementia. For clients who enjoy social interaction, we can accompany them to dementia-friendly events or provide transport to dementia cafés, helping maintain important community connections. Many of our clients also enjoy visiting the historic Heysham village or having a gentle stroll through Happy Mount Park, with our Care Professionals providing just the right level of support to make these outings enjoyable and stress-free.
We are led by Sam, our owner, who joined Home Instead after leaving the Royal Navy as a weapon engineer, bringing his commitment to excellence and emergency response skills to our care team. Our Care Professionals receive comprehensive dementia training, covering everything from communication techniques to managing challenging behaviours, ensuring they're fully equipped to provide exceptional care. Supporting our Care Professionals is Jennie, our Client Experience Manager, who brings over 20 years of care experience and a Level 5 qualification in leadership and management in health and social care to ensure our service remains top-notch. We host a dementia café at Williamson Park in Lancaster, creating a relaxed space for companionship and conversation in beautiful surroundings. Our Care Professionals stay informed about local resources and services and can help clients access appropriate support. We work collaboratively with local GPs and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care that addresses all aspects of wellbeing.
