Living with dementia doesn’t mean leaving the comfort and familiarity of home. Our specially trained Care Professionals understand how maintaining daily routines in familiar surroundings can significantly reduce anxiety and confusion for those with dementia. We recognise that memory challenges affect everyone differently, which is why we take time to learn each client’s life story, preferences, and individual needs. This personalised approach allows us to provide meaningful support that promotes independence while ensuring safety, whether that’s gentle reminders about medication, assistance with personal care, or simply providing reassuring companionship.

We are led by a team with a personal understanding of dementia care challenges, not only professionally but in their personal lives too. Our Registered Manager, Anne-Marie, started as a Care Professional with us over six years ago, bringing invaluable hands-on experience to her leadership role. Every Care Professional receives our industry-leading dementia training, covering everything from communication techniques to managing challenging behaviours with dignity and respect. Many of us have loved ones living with dementia, including our owner, Andrew, whose mother has lived with the condition. This personal understanding extends into our active involvement across Bristol. We're proud of our connection with Alive! charity, where Andrew serves as a trustee, supporting innovative activities designed specifically for those with memory challenges. Our monthly Film Clubs create wonderful opportunities for reminiscence and community connection, often becoming a highlight in our clients' calendars. Through our membership with the Bristol Dementia Action Alliance, we contribute to making Bristol more dementia-friendly, sharing our expertise and advocating for better understanding and support throughout the city.
