We are led by a team with genuine healthcare expertise, including our Co-Director Gladys, a qualified nurse who provides dementia care training for our Care Professionals. Our director and care manager Dorcas, brings her background in healthcare and hands-on care experience to ensure we deliver person-centred support to every client. Jan, our Deputy Manager, is a Mental Health First Aider with extensive experience working alongside people with dementia. The majority of our Care Professionals have completed comprehensive dementia training, reflecting our dedication to bringing specialised, compassionate dementia care. Our commitment to dementia support extends beyond individual care through active community involvement across Thurrock. We’ve recently launched our Singing for the Brain sessions, which run every other Tuesday, offering cognitive stimulation activities for people in various stages of dementia. As proud members of the Thurrock Dementia Action Alliance, we work alongside other local organisations to make our community more dementia-friendly and inclusive. Our close collaboration with local dementia advisors ensures we can connect families with the right resources at the right time.
