One of the strengths of live-in care is that the same person is alongside you each day. Your Care Professional learns what an ordinary day looks like and notices small changes early, perhaps in appetite or in how easily you are getting about, raising them with the family or your GP promptly. For relatives living further away, this is particularly reassuring. Your Care Professional will live in a spare room and usually work an eight to ten hour day, agreed with you at the assessment. They sleep at the house, so someone is close by overnight if anything unexpected happens, and any night-time needs are discussed with you from the start. Most of our clients are supported by two Care Professionals who take it in turns to live in for a few weeks at a time. Our local team plans the handovers and arranges cover if either is ever unavailable.
