Home help isn’t just about ticking off chores; it’s about creating the right environment for someone to live comfortably and independently. At Home Instead Epsom and Mole Valley, we focus on the small but important tasks that keep daily life running smoothly. That could mean providing support with light cleaning, meal preparation, or collecting a prescription from Horton Pharmacy. It’s flexible support, shaped by each person’s routine and preferences, helping them stay in control of their home without feeling overwhelmed. As time goes on, having a trusted care professional already in place also makes it easier to introduce further support if needed, always at a pace that feels right.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Needing help with household tasks is often one of the first signs that some extra support might be welcome, but it’s rarely just about the chores. One family got in touch asking for weekly visits to help their mum change her bed linens. It was a small job, but over time, something more meaningful developed. She and her care professional quickly discovered a shared love of nature, and now they regularly enjoy walks together through Epsom Common. What started as a bit of practical help has grown into something that brings companionship and the confidence to do the things she’s always loved. For many of our clients, a clean and cared-for home is just the beginning; it’s what opens the door to a more supported life at home.

At Home Instead Epsom and Mole Valley, we’ve built a team that cares deeply about the people they support. It’s not just a job; it’s something they take pride in. Over the past 15 years, we’ve created a culture rooted in respect, reliability, and genuine human connection. Many of our care professionals have shared how rewarding it feels to make someone’s day better, even in small ways. When someone from our team walks through the door, they bring more than home help; they bring trust, warmth, and consistency that families can rely on.
A well-kept home can do more than ease daily routines; it can also help people feel ready to reconnect with the world around them. With the right care at home, many of our clients find the confidence to take part in inclusive activities happening right on their doorstep. We regularly accompany clients to the Senior Moments social group at Emmanuel Church in Epsom, where they enjoy conversation, music and games in a friendly setting. We also attend the Evergreen Seniors group at St. George’s in Ashtead for afternoon tea, talks, and companionship. Our home help service often plays a quiet but vital role in making these moments possible, helping our clients feel supported and proud to open their front door to the community once again.
