This global awareness month highlights the impact of Alzheimer’s and dementia - conditions that affect so many lives here in Eastbourne, Hailsham, and beyond.

Many of our clients live with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and we are dedicated to providing not only exceptional care but also compassion, understanding, and meaningful engagement. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), our care services are widely recognised across the region for their quality and reliability.
Community Connections at our Café
Our work extends far beyond home care. One of our most well-known initiatives is the Willingdon Community Café, which offers a warm, welcoming space for people with memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s and their carers to socialise and connect. This takes place:
Everyone is welcome, and activities are designed to encourage conversation, laughter, and friendship. One local carer shared:
“Attending the Willingdon Community Café has given my mum a sense of belonging again… it’s the highlight of her month!”
We have some fantastic entertainers at these sessions including Dementia Singing Experience Sussex, Brett from Activity Time and Alli from Happiness in Motion.
Our community café is run in partnership with Haine and Son, Bowes House (Care UK) and Wealden Dementia Action Alliance.
Partnerships within the Community
We are proud members of both the Eastbourne Dementia Action Alliance and the Wealden Dementia Action Alliance, collaborating with other local organisations to create a more dementia-friendly community. These partnerships reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of people living with dementia and their families.
Our mission
Our goal is simple yet powerful: to ensure everyone in our community living with dementia or Alzheimer’s feels valued, engaged, and supported. By combining expert care with community outreach, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support.
How you can get involved…
This month, let’s stand together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and show our community’s support for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
