CAREGiver Jessica's Great Uncle Leslie Curtis VE Day

My great uncle, Second Lieutenant Leslie Arthur Curtis, of Tottenham, Middlesex, served with 1st Parachute Battalion, earning his commission in June 1944. He was awarded the Military Medal during his military service and later took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Second Lieutenant Curtis died on 20 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Arnhem.
Every few years my family and I all gather in Arnhem to celebrate the battle of the bridges and visit all the museums included the place he was killed and the at the cemetery where he is currently in an unmarked grave. My father has spent a year researching stories of the events of that battle and try to find out exactly what happened to him.
