Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly skilled, and experienced and Care Manager with a strong background in care and a passion for high quality care to join our care team based in Coventry South. We are growing business that you could really help develop if you have the motivation.

As our Care Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our domiciliary care service ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care. This will include being responsible for the efficient running of the business, quality control, managing the needs of the clients and day-to-day management of internal staff and our CAREGivers. 

The role:

  • Work closely with the Franchise Owner to coordinate the development of a high quality private domiciliary care service for people in the local area.
  • Act as the Registered Manager for the business. 
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and adherence to Home Instead Senior Care’s Franchise Standards, by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative and regulatory changes and by ensuring that employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Promote the highest standards of care and service, with a focus on person-centred care. 
  • Manage the process of client acquisition from initial contact to conversion, adhering to company policy. 
  • Carry out care planning and conduct risk assessments, ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensure successful operation of quality control systems and performing quality assurance visits for clients.
  • Continually reviewing and improving processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered.
  • Effectively managing complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service, and using those findings to implement improvements. 
  • Ensure relevant reports are forwarded to relevant bodies e.g. CQC, Care Inspectorate, The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority and Safeguarding Authorities.
  • Promote a positive culture, in line with the Home Instead ethos and values. 
  • Provide inspired leadership to the team, making sure that exceptional service is delivered to clients and workloads are managed to ensure safe staffing levels. 
  • Support the recruitment and training of CAREGivers and the office team. 
  • Take part in disciplinary investigations, interviews and meetings following the company policy and in conjunction with advice from the HR Provider. 
  • Support with the management of payroll and budgets.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of data across all relevant platforms. 
  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery. 
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business. 

To be successful, you will:

  • Have extensive care experience with excellent customer service and people management skills
  • Have, or be working towards, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services or equivalent
  • Be commercially aware
  • Have strong influencing skills
  • Be able to demonstrate achievement of business growth targets
  • Have the ability to build good working relationships
  • Have strong organisation and planning skills
  • Have strong IT skills and the ability to adopt new technologies where necessary
  • Have the drive and motivation to take on a broad role and develop our care services
  • Be able to work well and accurately under pressure whilst working independently with minimal supervision
  • Be flexible to meet the demands of the business including participating in an on-call rota.

Due to the need to support the On-Call function, which may require you to support team members out in the field in emergency situations, and also the requirement to travel throughout the community to conduct new client assessments, you should have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
