At Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley, we are passionate about empowering our local community with the knowledge and understanding needed to support people living with Dementia. That’s why we were absolutely delighted to deliver one of our FREE Dementia Awareness Workshops to the brilliant team at Martin Mere Wetland Centre.
Martin Mere is not only a much-loved local attraction – it is a place that welcomes thousands of visitors each year from all walks of life. To see such a well-respected and well-known organisation take proactive steps toward becoming more Dementia-aware was truly heartwarming and inspiring.
Our Dementia Awareness Workshops are designed to give teams the tools, understanding, and confidence to better support individuals who may be living with Dementia. The team at Martin Mere were incredibly welcoming, engaged, and keen to learn, making the session a real pleasure for us to deliver.
We hope they found the workshop both informative and a valuable use of their time, and we applaud their commitment to making their space more inclusive for all visitors.
Partnerships like these remind us just how powerful community collaboration can be. When local organisations come together with a shared purpose, we take meaningful steps toward a more compassionate, Dementia-aware society.
If your business, team, or organisation is interested in arranging a FREE Dementia Awareness Workshop, we would love to hear from you. Together, we can continue to make West Lancashire and Chorley a place where everyone feels understood and supported.
