We visited Delph Side Primary School to raise Dementia awareness and inspire future careers in care...
At Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, we are passionate about building a more compassionate and informed community – and that starts with education.
This week, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Delph Side Primary School as part of their Aspirations Week. Our team delivered interactive Dementia Awareness sessions, helping pupils understand what Dementia is, how it affects people, and how carers make a difference every day.
We also shared insights into what a career in care can look like – not just as a job, but as a truly rewarding and meaningful path. It was incredible to see how engaged the children were across all age groups. Their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and empathy gave us real hope for the future.
We would like to thank the fantastic staff and pupils at Delph Side for the warm welcome and brilliant conversations. It was a privilege to be part of such a positive and inspiring event.
