Home Instead searches for 'Recipes to Remember'

This month, to celebrate Older People's Day on 1st October, Home Instead in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds launched its search for the best cake recipe.

Inspired by 'The Big Skills Share' which is the theme of this year's Older People's Day, Home Instead owner Amanda Hamer is inviting local people to share their baking skills and knowledge with others.

Amanda and her team would be delighted to hear from anyone who has a favourite cake recipe - perhaps a tried and trusted standby which the family loves and they are willing to share with others. The only criteria are that the recipes should be simple and delicious!

Launching the event recently in Cirencester, Amanda stressed the importance of sharing skills between older and younger people, something which is being specifically highlighted by Older People's Day this year.

Home Instead is very pleased to be teaming up with Lucia's Cafe in Cirencester for this special event. Amanda commented, "The winning recipe will be featured in our Home Instead Recipe Book which is used by our CAREGivers when they are out in the local community providing care and support for older people at home. However the winner will also be able to enjoy lunch for free at Lucia's Cafe to the value of £20.00!"

Recipes should be sent, together with a contact name, address and telephone number to: Home Instead, Ullenwood Court, Ullenwood, Cheltenham, GL53 9QS. Alternatively they can be left at Lucia's Cafe, Dyer St., Cirencester. The closing date is 31st October 2012.
