Everything turned out just fine for our Care Manager Michelle's recent skydive with brilliant blue skies and spring-like temperatures making it a perfect day!
Michelle was joined at the Duke of Gloucester Barracks airfield near Cirencester by Angela Sutherland who came down especially from the national office of Home Instead in Warrington to take part in the fund raising event for Age UK.
Although both admitted to feeling nervous during the pre-flight briefing, they had lots of support from friends and colleagues to help keep the butterflies at bay.
Once in the air they enjoyed fabulous views across Gloucestershire before the moment came to leave the plane with their tandem skydiving buddies.
Waiting to welcome them back on the ground were Stuart Croft from Age UK Gloucestershire and Amanda Hamer from Home Instead Cheltenham and Cotswolds.
Afterwards Michelle said "I couldn't stop smiling throughout the whole jump! Knowing that by doing this we are helping to support older people in Gloucestershire through Age UK is fantastic. It was an amazing experience and it seemed to go very quickly so I would love to do it again!".
So far Michelle and Angela have raised over £1000 in total towards their target and they are hoping to increase this further over the next couple of weeks. Anyone wishing to make a contribution still has plenty of time to do so either by telephoning the Home Instead office on 01242 513203 or by sendiing a cheque, payable to 'Home Instead' to :
