CAREgiver Becky Luckett displayed some of her amazing hidden talents this week when help was sought with the Home Instead children’s Christmas party.
When Becky heard that cakes were needed she immediately offered her services and set to work to make a large Christmas cake and 100 cupcakes.
Becky joined Home Instead in February 2014 after taking the decision to have a complete change of career following a serious illness. A busy mum with a young family, she received the Home Instead CAREGiver of the Quarter Award earlier this year for her truly caring and compassionate approach and for really “going the extra mile” for her clients.
When the cakes arrived, staff were astonished. The results were fantastically professional and looked too good to eat!
Owner of Home Instead Amanda Hamer said: “Becky obviously has some very special skills as a CAREGiver. Like all of the people in our wonderful team she provides superb care and companionship to older people at home. She thinks very creatively about how she supports each individual person and her creativity and attention to detail can clearly be seen in her cake making too!”
