Care Continues in Blizzard Conditions

Now that the snow has gone (except for the odd patch here and there!) it is easy to forget how much more difficult such conditions can make things for our Caregivers who need to get out and about.

The Home Instead office is always ready and prepared, whatever the weather has to throw our way. When the first flakes fell recently, the team was already geared up, and with 4x4 vehicles, snow boots and hot flasks at the ready we were able to make sure our clients' needs and wishes were met, and visits completed.

This week Director of Home Instead Amanda Hamer, has been thanking both the Caregivers and office staff for providing fantastic continuity of service:

"Whenever the bad weather comes our way in Gloucestershire the Home Instead team pulls together and carries on through. Last week we saw heavy blizzards and deep snow drifts followed by ice - all of which can be very challenging. But with good planning, a clear focus on the safety of our clients and Caregivers, and a wonderfully caring and committed team, we made sure our care and support carried on regardless.

We have a terrific team and although it's all in a Home Instead day's work, it is times like this when our staff really do deserve an extra special thank you!"
