Film Club Downend!

Join us for a relaxed social afternoon where you can enjoy a good film, friendly company and cake!

The Downend Film Club continues to be well supported and we look forward to welcoming more new faces to the event. 

The next film showing on Monday 16th May will be Roald Dahl's The BFG (2016). The British-American fantasy adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Mark Rylance, Penelope Wilton and Rafe Spall. 

On Monday 20th June will be Kenneth Branagh's Oscar winning film Belfast (12A), about a young boy and his working-class Belfast family during the tumultuous times of the late 1960s. Starring Jude Hill, Jamie Dornan, Judi Dench and Ciaran Hinds. 

Join us on Monday 18th July for The Full Monty (1997) starring Robert Carlyle, Tom Wilkinson, Paul Barber and Lesley Sharp. Six unemployed steel workers form a male striptease act to ease their financial problems. A feel good comedy with great music!

The Film Club takes place on the third Monday of the month at 2pm at Christ Church Parish Hall, 57 North Street, Downend.
