We believe in individualised care. Our team, managed from our office in Basingstoke, will work closely with you to create a domiciliary care plan that meets your unique needs, preferences and routines. Home Instead carers are doing a very good job of looking after two elderly people, both suffering with dementia. Without the carers’ daily visits, these two elderly people simply could not continue to live at home, as they cannot prepare food, hot drinks, or be trusted to take their medication. Also these two elderly people need help keeping themselves washed and dressed in clean clothes, and their home clean and tidy. The home care that Home Instead provides really does make the difference between living in the family home and going into a nursing home.

Tailored Home Care in Basingstoke
Jack lives in Chineham and had been living alone since his wife died five years ago. His daughter Sue was getting concerned that he was not eating the home cooked meals that she brought for him and his personal care was not up to his former standards. With a re-kindled interest in meals, Jack started going with his carers to Chineham shopping centre to buy the food, and stopping for a coffee and cake whilst there. This soon broadened into exploring other places to visit for a cup of tea around Basingstoke. Once Jack had become more accepting of his visitors, the question of his personal care was raised. Yes, Jack would accept some help – someone to wait outside the bathroom whilst he had a shower, ready to come in if he slipped. The effect was transformative and Jack was soon feeling happier, healthier and more comfortable! Sue was thrilled that she had “got her dad back”, and that his acceptance of carers paved the way for evolving home care assistance.
