Home Instead offers the gold standard of care to my elderly mother. They not only provide a great team but are also professional and patient when dealing with the family and the inevitable changes that need to be made to the care plan. For us we need to have confidence in every aspect of our relative’s care and Home Instead instil that effortlessly. from the outset, I simply would not use any other provider and can highly recommend Alexia and all her Yeovil area team.

My auntie absolutely adored the girls who came to see her each day. They couldn’t do enough for her. Whether she just wanted a hand to hold or someone to chat with for an hour, they always honoured her wishes with care and kindness.

Home Instead has done their best to provide suitable care with minimal changes in Care Professionals, which is very important to my mother, as she finds it difficult to have ‘new’ helpers in the house.

It has been a tremendous help now that the Care Pros handle their medication. Managing their health appointments, vet visits, finances, bills, equipment servicing, and funding can sometimes feel overwhelming, and knowing that their medication is taken care of brings me such relief.

Mum started receiving care from Home Instead at the end of August having been in respite care for 2 weeks, she suffers from vascular dementia. From my very first contact, through to meeting the deputy manager who created our care plan, through to Mum’s 3 carers and another staff member who has taken over our case from the deputy manager, I can not speak highly enough of you all.

Your care, respect, thoughtfulness and politeness are amazing, putting the client in the middle of everything you do.

I have been delighted by the standard of care provided. It has been very professional yet understanding and patient. I have made no request which has not been met immediately. Friends have dropped round unexpectedly but have been made welcome. Trips out to visit a friend, helped with my exercises etc. Thank you for sending such a lovely and capable person.

Home Instead have been providing care to Mum for over three years, initially one visit per day but as Mum’s needs increased they were able to increase to 3 visits a day at very short notice. The carers were wonderful with Mum, being patient, caring and loving. They always greeted her with a smile and we felt they genuinely cared for Mum’s welfare. Mum looked forward to their visits as it brightened up her day. They were proactive in adapting to Mums changing needs. Thank you for providing my brother and me with peace of mind.

My mother is visually impaired, now in her 80s and was widowed a few years ago. She was keen to retain her independence and stay in the family home but required support to do so. Home Instead took the time to understand what support was required, tailored a service to suit her and has provided reliable, regular assistance for over a year. They have taken Mum on trips, helped with shopping, meals, paperwork and household chores and have provided companionship throughout that time. It has meant that Mum could stay in familiar surroundings for longer than she would have been able to otherwise. I thoroughly recommend them.

A plan was formulated that met our needs and with a few days Care Professionals were visiting our home. I can, from my experience completely recommend Home Instead.

I cannot praise the Home Instead team too highly. The care professionals looking after my parents went to endless lengths to keep them happy and comfortable at home, and the office team performed short-notice organisational miracles of all sorts, including, for instance, providing cover when we got Covid and couldn’t visit. Everyone was so kind and so gentle with my increasingly fragile parents.

My parents had just started using Home Instead’s services when my father fell and broke his hip. The manager and the team were marvellous in immediately providing the unanticipated extra care needed to make sure they were well looked after. Since then, they have settled into a daily routine with a small team of lovely carers who are all unfailingly kind, willing and able.

It has been the most wonderful company I have worked for in the 9 years of my caring career. They are a fantastic well lead care company and most of all their clients come first along with high standards of care being offered by myself and other Care Professionals. Being a Care Professional myself for Home Instead has been a great opportunity to be supported by the management team.

Home Instead have been providing care for our mother since July 2022. They have covered for our normal carer when she has been away. They go in twice each Saturday to give our normal carer a day off. They cover when our normal carer is away as well.
Staff in the office is very efficient and helpful. The carers who have been to see Mum are all lovely. Carers are all very caring towards Mum and Mum likes them all very much.
My siblings and I are really pleased and extremely grateful to everyone at Home Instead for the help and support you are giving us in caring for our Mum.

Right from the beginning of talking to the director, I knew this would be the right company to assist my mum and us. Always helpful, very responsive and once Mum was home we never had to worry if carers would arrive, a schedule was sent out each week in advance to let us know who was coming. My mum was happy with the care provided and overall in the circumstances, we could not have asked for more. Mum passed away in good hands and we are very grateful to everyone who helped us. My experience with home and said has been exceptionally good and has aided my recovery. I have been showing kindness and dignity and respect of my home. Continuity of care team and arriving on time has been important to me. Only once was my time altered and unfortunately, I was not informed. Thank you for providing this service as I live alone and it has been invaluable to me.

All staff at Home Instead Yeovil are polite and professional. My mum is very happy with the care that Home Instead has always provided, including extra cover for my mum when needed, which has been much appreciated. I would recommend them.

I would like to thank all the Home Instead staff for their professional approach. The care workers were so kind to my mum, and nothing was too much trouble.

My mum had just one morning visit per day, which made all the difference in her life. Knowing a care worker would be there each morning gave her something to look forward to—an hour of chat and company. It was also peace of mind for our family.

The care workers were generally punctual, and if they couldn’t make a visit or were running late, the office staff would always call us to let us know.

Mum also enjoyed attending the Home Instead Christmas parties!

Just to let you know, Sylvia did an excellent job looking after my mother over the last two weeks. She was really kind and attentive and very professional and my mother was very pleased to be looked after her (once she got to know her, as she was new). So it all worked out very well and I was reassured to know that Sylvia was looking after my mother when I was far away.

We have found the services provided by Home Instead uniformly excellent. Individual carers have been thoughtful, reliable and always responsive. In the same way, the management team have been both patient and quick to adapt to our changing needs, and are always available for discussion.
