April has been a meaningful month filled with care, connection, and community!
This month, we launched Spot the Signs, a national campaign raising awareness about the early warning signs that an ageing loved one may need extra support—like unopened mail, a messy home, or forgotten tasks.
At Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport, we’re here to help families recognise these signs and start the right conversation before a crisis. To learn more about the ‘Spot the signs’ campaign – Read our blog here

We’re passionate about working with other organisations to strengthen support across the area. In April, we attended the Somerset Dementia Wellbeing Event hosted by Spark Somerset and joined the Community Cuppa by The Rendezvous in Sherborne. These gatherings help us build meaningful partnerships to enhance at-home care in our community.
We’re proud to continue investing in our team’s development. In April, a dedicated group of Care Professionals completed their City & Guilds Assured Dementia Care Training. This equips them to deliver truly person-centred home care and live in care to clients living with dementia in and around Yeovil, Sherborne areas. We’re so proud of their commitment to excellence!
Our Marvellous Monday initiative continues to shine a spotlight on team members who go above and beyond—recognising the kind words and nominations from clients, families, and colleagues. A small gesture of thanks goes a long way in showing our appreciation. Visit our Facebook page to view the Marvellous Monday recognitions.
We never miss a chance to celebrate! This month, we marked milestone birthdays for several clients, celebrated our Head of People Experience Becky’s birthday, and congratulated Audrey on her 6th work anniversary with Home Instead. A huge thank you for all the joy and dedication you bring to the team!
A huge congratulations to Laura and Jess, our April Care Professionals of the Month!
Laura has gone above and beyond by baking homemade scones for her clients and giving flowers to clients and their families for Mother’s Day—a truly thoughtful touch.
Jess has made a big difference by helping her client, RE, enjoy outings again—bringing confidence and joy to their day. Thank you both for your compassion and dedication!
A Big Thank You
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our entire team for your continued commitment and care. A special shout-out to everyone who supported clients over the Easter weekend—you made sure no one felt alone or forgotten.
