Parkinson’s care can help to manage the progression of your symptoms – having a care professional in place can help with maintaining your independence and living your life to its fullest.
Our care professionals are all suitably trained to work with clients with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s. Home Instead are the only care organisation in Wrexham & Flintshire who work in partnership with Parkinson’s UK to provide our care professionals with specialist training so they are fully equipped to support you with your physical, practical and emotional needs, offering a fully holistic approach to your care.
What we do to care for your loved ones
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of a unique mix of services to meet your needs.

A neurological condition like Parkinson’s is life changing, as more parts of the brain are impacted it can lead to a number of symptoms that can be difficult to deal with alone. - How much care will I need?
In the early stages of your condition, it may be that only a small amount of assistance is required from our Parkinson’s carers, while in the later stages you may require longer periods of care. We will work with you and your clinical team from the earlier stages to the more advanced stages of Parkinson’s to ensure you are receiving the necessary levels of support.
- Is Parkinson's curable?
At present there is no cure for Parkinson’s, but there are multiple therapies and treatments that will allow you to live with Parkinson’s on a day to day basis. Home Instead can work alongside your clinical team to ensure you are receiving any necessary treatment or therapy as part of your care.
- Does Parkinson's disable you?
Parkinson’s disease affects all sufferers differently, with varying combinations of symptoms between individuals.
