Home Instead grows stronger through lockdown
The team at Home Instead Worthing has not let lockdown get them down, as they celebrate three years of caring and the appointment and promotion of two senior team members!
The local home care company, who have won a homecare.co.uk award for being the number one home care provider in West Sussex, has continued to provide high quality care to their elderly clients throughout lockdown. The award is based on the home care provider’s reviews from clients, plus their friends and relatives.
Home Instead Worthing employs 30 caregivers, with this number growing daily due to an ever-increasing demand for home care services.
They have also continued to promote and employ new team members. New Registered Manager, Cece Cooper joined the team in July 2020, and Emily Rowland was promoted to Deputy Care Manager in July 2020. Both are from Worthing and have worked in the care sector for a number of years.
The team has also continued to be involved with the local community, and are planning to relaunch their community-based Memory Cafés from the end of October
which allow local seniors to socialise and take part in group activities, and also help with dementia sign-posting and care. The Memory Café will run every 4th Wednesday of the Month between 2pm and 4pm and West Worthing Baptist Church.
Mike Jeffries, owner of Home Instead Worthing commented: “Although the pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone, being named as the top home care provider in West Sussex shows our work is appreciated by those who matter the most, our clients and their families. We really want to make a difference in our local community with the work that we do. During uncertain times we have provided a safe service, keeping both our clients and caregivers protected and happy.
“We’re happy to have expanded our team during these times through promotions and by welcoming on board new staff members, strengthening our team further by bringing a wealth of caring knowledge and experience.”
