As part of our ongoing support for Active Wirral’s health walks, Home Instead is proudly sponsoring the Wirral Walking Festival 2024.
This is a wonderful event, taking place throughout the month of May, which includes walks for people of all ages and abilities. Our Community Team support Active Wirral’s regular Wellbeing Walks in West Kirby on a weekly basis and in sponsoring the festival we hope to encourage more of our seniors to stay active.
The festival includes a wide range of walks at various locations around Wirral. Some focus on local history and heritage, there are ranger led walks, and of course Active Wirral’s regular Wellbeing Walks. There is something for everyone.
To round off the Walking Festival is the Big May Walk & Picnic 2024 on Sunday 26th May from 11am – 1pm. You can take a leisurely walk around New Brighton and meet up with everyone back at the Dips for a picnic. Bring a blanket or chair and your picnic to enjoy after you’ve worked up a healthy appetite.
