13 Years of Impact: Rebecca’s Rise to General Manager

A pathway to a successful career
Thirteen years ago, our Group General Manager, Rebecca Bradley, entered the care sector with a singular mission: helping people live well in the comfort of their own homes. Today, she stands as a leader in the field, proving that a career in care offers limitless professional growth.
The Foundation of Care
Rebecca began her journey as a Care Professional, supporting both elderly clients and children with learning disabilities. It was here that she fell in love with the ‘hands-on’ nature of the work, seeing first-hand, how a dedicated professional can transform a family’s quality of life.
A Fast-Track Career Path
Rebecca’s ambition and initiative led to a series of impressive milestones:
- Innovating for Families: Within two years, she was promoted to Children’s Services Manager. She didn’t just manage; she grew the department, even launching a successful after-school sensory club to provide vital support for local families.
- Breaking Records: Rebecca then progressed to Registered Care Manager. At the time, she was one of the youngest Registered Managers in the country – a position she excelled in for six years.
- Leading the Business: Seeking to master the commercial side of the sector, Rebecca moved into her current role as General Manager at Home Instead.
Driven by Growth
Reflecting on her 13-year tenure, Rebecca credits Home Instead with providing the tools and opportunities necessary to turn a passion for helping others into a high-level leadership career. She also encourages others to consider taking the plunge and starting a career in care with Home Instead. There really is a structured pathway to a viable and rewarding career – you just need to take the opportunity and commit to giving care a chance. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.
