New Dementia Cafe with Home Instead at The Fox and Castle

Our dementia cafe launches on Monday 2nd October 💜😻 10.30am - 12pm, warm and welcoming for all ages and stages of dementia, and loved ones, in a pub!

New Dementia Cafe with Home Instead at The Fox and Castle ~ Old Windsor

Recently, Jo and Care Pro Liz have been working closely with some key players, to be able to create, launch and run a Dementia Cafe.

Community connections and key players, Nick of The Fox and Castle, old Windsor,  Steve From Age Uk Berkshire, Nicky from NHS Frimly and Tesco Dedworth and Tesco Datchet who are very kindly donating the biscuits and pastries that will be provided for free. What a caring community collaboration!

The aim of opening this Dementia cafe is to be able to normalise, for people living with dementia, as well as their families, the age old practice of going out to a pub. Having Dementia shouldn’t stop someone from being able to socialise, and shouldn’t make them feel the need to stay at home, isolated.

At a recent planning meeting, Jo was delighted to meet foxy….. she has recently moved into the fox and castle…. She is looking forward to meeting and greeting the guests at our dementia cafe launch on Monday 2nd October 💜😻 10.30am – 12pm.

This will be warm and welcoming for all ages and stages of dementia, and loved ones, quality hot drinks, free biscuits and lots of love and support for those in a similar situation….. in a pub!

We are so excited and We hope to see you there!
