Pride in Weston super Mare 2023

On Saturday 30th September we marched in the #PROUDTOBE Parade as part of Weston Pride Festival 2023.

Home Instead Weston super Mare team members were delighted to be able to march in the #ProudToBe Parade at Weston Pride this year, representing Home Instead. With support banner and flag sticks in hand, they marched from Knightstone Island, through the crowds in Weston Town Centre, and over to Grove park where the Pride Festivities were set to continue.

The turnout was fantastic and the whole parade got so much love and attention from members of the public who came out to watch. It was an emotional walk, as the team showed support for inclusivity and equality for the LGBTQ+ community. We certainly were #ProudToBe there and proud to show our support on behalf of Home Instead and our LGBTQ+ Care Professionals and Clients past, present and future.

Well done and thank you to Jenny, Chrissy, Nikki and Heidi for taking part in the parade.

Festivities continued after the parade and into the night with non stop performances across 2 stages in Grove Park. We were also pleased to see local Make Up Artist and star of BBC3 GLOW UP Season 5, Wezley Webber attending Pride to do make up advice and tutorials. We are currently working with Wezley on a charity raffle to raise money for Weston Hospicecare, so it was a fantastic chance to catch up and do a bit of promotion for this too!

It was a fantastic event and we are so pleased we could be part of it. The team are looking forward to next year!

Thank you so much to all the organisers of Pride in Weston, and the performers on the day. You all did an amazing job.
