Health care Information Day - 2019
Held on Thursday 11th July 2019 this was our 3rd year of holding our Health Care Information Day community event. Due to change of use, it was also the last time we were going to be using the Hope Church as the venue, so we gathered for a final time in this space to put our services on display for the public.
This was our biggest event to date, with 20 companies exhibiting their services. Home Instead were joined by: Carelink, Age UK, the Alzheimer’s Society, Avon Fire & Rescue, Contact the Elderly, CURO, Good Care Group, Greenslades Opticians, Hutton Moor Leisure, Milton Pharmacy, N.Somerset Health Trainers, the NSCP, Parkinson’s UK, Pitman & Son Funerals, Avon & Somerset Police, the Red Cross, the Stroke Association, Wards Solicitors, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Weston Mobility.
Guests and exhibitors were delighted when Avon Fire & Rescue turned up in their Fire Engine with lights and sirens blaring. The Mayor and Mayoress were also in attendance, and we served refreshments to purchase in aid of Parkinson’s UK this year. Another successful year.
