Garden Centre's In Thurrock
It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, something always needs to be done in the garden. We have listed some in Grays & South Ockendon that are worth a visit.
Smiths Orchard Garden Centre
This is an independently run garden centre based in Grays. They have a large outdoor area full of plants, pots, ornaments, landscaping products, inside you will find garden furniture, tools, gift shop, a café plus many more things you didn’t realise you needed for your garden!
The staff here are very experienced and will be only too happy to help with any questions.
Smiths Orchard Garden Centre is definitely worth a visit. Don’t forget to take a break in the café, we think you will need it after all the hard work of choosing what to put in your garden!

Chestnut Farm Garden Centre
You will find this garden centre in South Ockendon.
They have an outside area with lots of plants but there is also a gift shop and lots of other little shops for you to browse around.
Also, there is a café which serves a wonderful Sunday lunch, just what you need after a weekend of gardening!!
From the outside it doesn’t look that big, but once you go in, you will find everything you need and lots of things you didn’t know you needed!!
Don’t forget to have a browse through the other little shops at the garden centre as well.

Thurrock Garden Centre
Situated in South Ockendon, it is probably the more well known one out the those featured.
It has a large indoor space that sells everything from garden lighting, furniture, gardening clothes, tools, things for your pets, to gifts, artificial flowers, local honey and preserves, as well as delicious treats like coconut ice and fudge!!!
Plus many other wonderful things for your garden and inside your home.
There is also a lovely café called Woody’s inside the garden centre and we have featured this in our Tea Room & Café blog.
You really could spend hours in this garden centre and a member of our admin team often does!!
