Your Home, Your Choice, Your Care

Home Instead North Telford, Newport and Market Drayton are here to help you find the best care and support for your loved one

As with many aspects of everyday living, we are bombarded with choice. Where to buy groceries, where to eat, where to have our hair cut, online or High Street shopping, the list is endless. Choosing care at home for our loved ones is no different. There are many different levels of service and many different providers. So how do you know which is the best choice for you and your loved one.

The crucial step to making the right choice is by answering the following question – does the service share your values and consistently demonstrate the skills, attitude and desire to provide the very best care service possible for your family? Or to put it another way, as Home Instead would say, ‘Do they pass the mum test?’ If the answer is yes, then you are on the right track.

For over 13 years, local Newport based homecare company Home Instead have been working with families to change the face of ageing. As owner, Jason Warren says, “The way in which we operate is unique which enables us to offer an exceptional level of service to our clients, as demonstrated by being rated Outstanding by the CQC.’

Deputy Care Manager, Paula Fowler explains, ‘Quite often, with a traditional homecare provider, essential physical needs are addressed, however, often it is the emotional needs of the individual that are overlooked, and it is by concentrating on the need for companionship, interaction, stimulation and community inclusion that we believe we make a real difference to the quality of life of our clients. By building a relationship with our clients and their families we are able to focus on all their needs and can adapt the service we offer as needs change, whether for a few hours a week to around the clock care.

‘The key is having the same consistent Care Professional who arrives when the client wants them to arrive and supports the client in a way that enables them to be very much in control of their life choices. Our care visits are a minimum of 1 hour to ensure that there is plenty of time for our clients to receive the best quality of care while also having time to build a lasting, trusting relationship. We support our clients with the everyday activities that perhaps they are finding harder to manage, for example, helping with the morning routine, going shopping, meal preparation and housework to supporting those with more complex needs. But whatever the need, or condition, we give companionship and friendship first and foremost.’
