Unlock Your Potential: How Home Instead Supports Its Care Professionals

A Stepping Stone in Your Career in Care

Surprisingly, many members of our compassionate team start with little professional experience in care, although many have cared for a loved one or family member. Stepping into an unfamiliar role can be daunting, which is why we’ve developed a comprehensive support structure to give you all the skills and confidence you’ll need to provide quality care. Our prominence as a leading care provider in Tavistock and Tamar Valley isn’t just built on our exceptional care for clients, but also on our dedication to nurturing you!

We have carefully designed an extensive training programme, ensuring that every Care Professional is well-equipped with the essential skills. From day one, you’ll have access to earn professional qualifications, including NVQs. Our specialist training doesn’t stop there. Recognising the diverse needs of our clients, we go further with dedicated dementia training and, in partnership with Parkinson’s UK, provide guidance on more intricate conditions like Parkinson’s disease. This continuous learning environment ensures our Care Professionals are always at the forefront of care.

Making Introductions Feel Like Friendships

When our Care Professionals meet a client, it isn’t a mere introduction; it’s the beginning of a bond. We ensure that this initial meeting feels personal, akin to meeting a long-time friend. This is underlined by our “Buddy & Shadow visits” approach. By the time our professionals meet their clients, they know a bit about them and understand the things they enjoy doing – ensuring they are prepared, confident, and understanding of the client’s unique needs.
