As spring continued to bloom, May was a month full of meaningful moments, thoughtful gestures, and community spirit here at Home Instead Taunton & West Somerset.
We proudly supported our clients in celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day, taking time to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of generations past. It was a privilege to share stories, music, and memories together. One special moment was when we framed and gifted a photograph to our client RC from the VE Day celebration—a keepsake he was delighted to receive.
As part of our commitment to safety and awareness, we supported the latest Take Five to Stop Fraud campaign from UK Finance. We shared important scam prevention advice with our Care Professionals, office team, clients and their families—helping everyone stay one step ahead of fraud.
We also offer Scam Awareness Sessions for the community on request—please get in touch if you’d like to arrange one.
We proudly took part in Dementia Action Week by joining the national conversation and sharing practical guidance and resources for those living with dementia and their families.
If your loved one needs dementia care at home, or if you’d like a copy of our WoW (What’s on Where) guide or dementia checklist, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re here to help.
This month we celebrated the birthdays of some of our incredible clients and team members. Whether it was a cheerful visit or a slice of cake in the office, we loved marking these special occasions together.
A true highlight this month was a heartfelt gesture from Harriet, daughter of our Designated Care Manager Jo. Harriet surprised the team with homemade, individually named cupcakes as a thank you to our office staff working over the May bank holiday. It was such a thoughtful treat and very much appreciated by everyone!
Thank you to our amazing team, clients, and community for making May such a meaningful month. We look forward to everything June will bring!
