Some of our lovely Care Professional excel at helping our clients engage and take part in many activities. They enjoy painting, knitting, collage, and sculpture these are just a few of the activities our Care Professionals have helped them to enjoy.
Our Care Professionals have helped our clients to express themselves in new ways. One of the ways we have found that helps build confidence is through art. If you are looking for a visit that is a bit different, we have Care Professionals who are fully trained in dementia care and can help you or your loved ones find new ways to show how they are feeling and what they are thinking. Even our clients who are not living with dementia enjoy a visit that is based around a creative activity, be it art within their own home or help with getting to a weekly class.
There are many ways to show the world your creative side, you could try the Honeywood Adult Colouring Group, join them for a calming, creative morning and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings. All materials are supplied. Feel free to drop in and it’s free to join. Upcoming date are, 30 March, 27 April, 11 & 25 May and 8 & 22 June on Thursdays at 10:15-12:15.
If you’re looking for something a little more advanced they also run the Honeywood Embroidery Group, go along for a morning of stitching with fellow enthusiasts. You will need to bring your own materials with you. It is free to attend but you will need to book to guarantee your place and can do that from their website. Upcoming dates are 20 April, 4 & 18 May and 15 & 29 June on Thursdays at 10:15-12:15.
No matter your ability or talent many of our clients that never believed they could paint or create something have found that they can not only take pride in what they create, but it also helps them express themselves in new ways, and they have been amazed by what they have achieved.
