Home Instead (Stourbridge, Hagley and Halesowen) improves the lives of clients, family carers and the community by delivering dementia training for family as well as carers
September was World Alzheimer’s month and Home Instead supported the campaign by running dementia friends training for care professionals, family carers and the local community. Over 900,000 people are living with dementia in the UK. There are many different types with Alzheimer’s being the most common and over 70,000 are classified as having early onset or ‘young’ onset. At Home Instead we see how this affects clients and their loved ones which is why we deliver free training for our clients families as well as local businesses. With greater understanding of the dementia and how it can affect behaviour, we see that stress and worry can be reduced, giving people a greater sense of control to live well with the disease.
If you live or work in the Stourbridge, Hagley, Halesowen, Belbroughton and Clent areas an you are interested in learning more, please call our office in Hagley for a chat and find our latest dementia friends dates.
