Are you interested in a Care Assistant job in Stockport? Then why not come and have a chat with Home Instead Senior Care? We know how important our CAREGivers are to our clients, which is why we call them Superheroes. We’re not saying that you have to go to work in tight lycra and a cape, but the small things that you can do for our clients really makes you an everyday superhero.
Home Instead was set up as an alternative option to Care Homes, by allowing elderly people to stay in their own homes and therefore live a more independent life in their old age. The time you spend with the elderly person can make a real difference to both their lives and their family’s lives – and be a huge weight off someone’s mind. Many people today have jobs and young families, and so struggle to cope with an elderly parent, which can lead to stress for them and sometimes even a break-down in family relationships. If you decide to go for a care assistant job in Stockport, and become a Home Instead CAREGiver, you can help families by reassuring them that their loved ones will remain safe and well in their own home, with the companionship that they require. You will also be providing the elderly person with peace of mind and security – a true superhero indeed.
The sort of tasks that our CAREGivers undertake fall into three categories: Companionship, Home Help and Personal Care. We also offer a specialist Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care service too. Companionship covers such areas as: providing conversation, helping people stay active, & preparing meals. Home Help covers running errands, light housework and accompanying clients to appointments. Personal care covers help with washing, dressing & grooming. Our specialist care also covers these areas but concentrates on assistance with moving & eating, activity stimulation & spending time reminiscing with the client. Small things you may think, but help in these areas can really make a difference to people’s lives.
We are pretty unique amongst the companies offering care assistant jobs in Stockport, in that we don’t ask for any previous care experience or specific medical qualifications from you before you join us. We are more interested in your personality, in that we want people with a passion to make a difference, a desire to help other people lead happy and healthy lives, and a few extra hours on your hands. We are pretty flexible on scheduling too – so if there are particular hours that you want to work or don’t want to work we will try out hardest to work round that for you. We also offer an amazing training and support service, which will help you with such areas as: communicating with seniors, planning activities, recognising illnesses and safety in the home.
So, if you are interested in becoming a Superhero to a lovely elderly person, or would like more information please contact the Stockport Home Instead office on 0161 480 0646 or email us on: firstname.lastname@example.org
