Leanne with her award from Michele

The “Making a Difference Award” for May has been awarded to Leanne after a unanimous decision by the office team. The award is recognition of the work Leanne has recently been doing with an extremely challenging client and has not only been faced with managing the client’s conditions but also with her family’s circumstances. Leanne has been working closely with the client’s CPN to ensure her support is as effective as possible. The work they have done has made a real difference to the Client’s life.

Leanne has recently been able to help her client visit Stockport Progress and Recovery Centre (SPARC), which is a centre for those who are experiencing or recovering from mental health problems. The Client has found it difficult to attend by herself, and therefore has not been for a very long time. Leanne has given the Client the support and confidence to go back. These visits have enabled the client to get out into the community a lot more and she is really enjoying Leanne’s help.

WELL DONE LEANNE!

Commenting about the work Leanne has done, Michele Bushell, Care Manager said: “Leanne has worked hard to overcome difficult circumstances, and the benefit to the Client has been significant. Building the confidence of the Client to enable her to get to out and about again has been a real tonic to the client”.
